Summer School Grants for 2015, Tomsk Polytechnic University (Russian Federation)

National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University invites bachelors, masters and postgraduate students from the world leading universities to participate in the International Academic Summer School on Well-being «UniverCiTerra».

The International Academic Summer School «UniverCiTerra 2015» is supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University and the European Commission (project “Tempus”) as an academic project for active and engaged students striving for new knowledge.

During the course participants will get to know how to construct well-being society, develop city tourism, and find possible ways to solve global issues at interesting classes conducted by the world leading scientists.

School will be held from July 19 to August 8, 2015 in Tomsk, the Russian Federation, National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University.

The program includes seminars, discussions, trainings, workshops and business games on four main modules:

City Tourism: Smart & Sustainable

Rules, People, Technologies

Sustainable communications

Lifelong wellbeing. Active aging. Sustainable development

Every student has a chance to win a scholarship. This scholarship covers costs for studying and accommodation. The number of scholarships is limited – only 50.

Participants must register and fill in the form on the school’s website and send it on e-mail uct2015tpu@gmail.com from 15.03.2015 to 10.05.2015.

Registration of Summer School «UniverCiTerra» has already opened.

Every student will get a participant’s kit for studying and a certificate (108 hours).

Our participants will have a unique social program on Siberia history and Tomsk free.

Summer program, Dublin – BEAI

The Bridge Education Abroad Institute (BEAI), www.beainstitute.org/beai/ireland, is organizing a summer program in Ireland.

The institute plans short programs all across the world, to provide students with unique opportunities to experience different political cultures while strengthening their leadership and diplomacy skills.

Its programs draw a diverse group of students together from all over the world to discuss pressing global issues while exchange cultural values. In a rapidly globalizing world, these experiences are invaluable to the success of students in the global job market.

For the summer of 2015, one program is scheduled in Dublin, Ireland during July and August. This program will include lectures from experienced professors and guest speakers from all over the globe. A few of our professors include:

•  Prof. Dr. Timoey Agarin – Prof. at the school of politics and international studies at QUEENS UNIVERSITY BELFAST. Director of the Centre for the study of Ethnic Conflict. Co-founder of the collaborative research network “Romanis in Europe: probing the limits of integration”
•  Prof. Dr. Rory Costello – Course Director for European Studies at the UNIVERSITY OF LIMERICK. PhD from Trinity College Dublin. Previously worked at the University of Twente in the Netherlands and at the London School of Economics.

All Ireland lectures will be held at Trinity College Dublin and University College Cork.

The students will enrich their knowledge of Ireland’s history, international politics, and economics while also enjoying travel to famous and historic places.

European Identity – Summer school in Brussels (July 2015)

The Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) is organizing a Summer School from 15 July 2015 to 30 July 2015 entitled “European Identity”.
This Summer School aims at giving wide knowledge related to European topic to the attendees and has been thought as an attractive possibility to live an international experience in the Capital of Europe, Brussels.

Université d’Eté en Sorbonne

Depuis cinq ans, l’Université Paris-Sorbonne organise l’Université d’été en Sorbonne.
Nous sommes très fiers d’accueillir un public venant du monde entier et souhaitant profiter
des enseignements de la Sorbonne. L’ambiance est chaleureuse, les cours et conférences
sont interactifs et ne s’adressent pas à des spécialistes du sujet mais à des gens cultivés
et désireux d’accroître leur culture avec des compagnons d’âges et de nationalités très divers.

Du 29 juin au 24 juillet, nous proposons 11 cycles de cours, assurés par des professeurs de
la communauté de Sorbonne Universités, d’une durée de 15 heures (3 heures par jour) sur une
semaine, autour de thèmes transversaux en lettres, philosophie, Histoire, arts, biologie, sciences humaines et sociales.
Cinq nouveaux cycles font donc leur apparition au programme cette année :

• Découverte de la France (en anglais et en français)
• Les femmes françaises
• Vieillir : pour ou contre ?
• Mutations de l’homme et de son environnement

Des activités culturelles viendront elles aussi enrichir le Programme pour cette édition 2015.

SUMMER SCHOOL PARIS DIDEROT

The first edition of “SUMMER SCHOOL PARIS DIDEROT” has been launched by the Office of International Relations of Université Paris Diderot. The program will be held from July 6th to 24th, 2015.

International students willing to discover France or go more in depth into their French language and culture knowledge are welcome. For three weeks students will learn French language every morning and visit Paris and France in the afternoon and week-end.
