Alba Fucens veccho
At the feet of Monte Velino, Alba Fucens was an ancient town founded by the Romans as a Latin colony in 304 b.C. However, its age of glory was during the imperial age, when the city could benefit from the economic increase due to the drainage of the Fucino lake.
In 2015 our équipe conducted its first campaign at Alba Fucens. We opened the site again and started the excavation of a tarbenae along via del miliario:
From 2017 we work at Alba Fucens in collaboration with Dr. Daniela Liberatore and her équipe from University of Foggia.
