Summer Schools
The Department of Civilizations and Forms of Knowledge organises 7 Summer Schools.
4 of them are based at the University of Pisa:
– The Cradle of the Renaissance: Art in Tuscany 1400-1539
– The most Ancient of Minorities: the Italian Jews
– The Making and Unmaking of Italy from the Risorgimento to the present times
– Ancient Egyptian Writings in Context: from archaeology to hieratic and hieroglyphs
3 of them are based in other contexts, either Italy, or abroad:
– Archaeology of the frontier in the Near East: excavation data and historical research
– Summer school of Archeology in Abruzzo
– Vada Volterrana Archaeological Field School
